Jorge Gonzalez is the Commissioner at Large of North Bay Village and a resident of Harbor Island since 2008.
Jorge has been active in the community serving on the Charter Review Board, and as co-chair of the Planning and Zoning Board since 2011.He is the President of the Community Association where he resides, a position he has held for three years.
Jorge is also a member of the Optimist Club, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of our young in the community.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Jorge co-owns and operates a successful IT distribution business and is a licensed real estate broker. He also owns a commercial real estate investment firm. Prior to owning his business, Jorge spent 8 years as Business Development Manager for Latin America with Hewlett-Packard Co., a multinational manufacturer of IT products. Most importantly, he is the proud father of two beautiful girls ages 9 and 15.
Jorge is passionate about North Bay Village-- as Commissioner his focus will be on fostering commercial and residential development and helping the city grow by attracting good businesses and quality residents. He wants to see North Bay Village become a destination where people come to live, work and play… the crown jewel of South Florida.
