DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Public Works Department is to provide quality, efficient services that meet and support the infrastructure demands of North Bay Village, and enhance the quality of life for our residents, businesses and visitors through the construction, operation and maintenance of a safe, effective and aesthetic physical environment.
We will accomplish this mission through the following core services:
Providing and maintaining an efficient system of roads and pathways made safe and easily accessible by appropriate traffic control devices.
Chemical and mechanical maintenance of the Village's existing system of storm drainage facilities.
Providing effective, safe and environmentally sensitive mosquito control services.
Maintenance of the Village's landscaped medians and public rights-of-way.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES & ACTIVITIES
Public Works is responsible for the engineering, construction and maintenance of the Village's streets. Public Works Department is committed to beautifying and maintaining landscapes along the public rights-of-way of the Village.
Public Works also implements local and County mosquito control programs to help minimize the threat of disease.
The Public Works Department consists of 7 divisions all dedicated to our mission of serving and working for the citizens of North Bay Village. In addition to being the administrative center for the department's operations, the Public Works Director also serves as a clearing house for citizen questions and concerns about public works.
