You Can Move Our City Forward on Jan. 29

The residents of North Bay Village will have the opportunity to help shape the future of their community.  Three very important quality of life issues will be on the January 29th Ballot.  Decisions will entail the creation of a park system for future generations to enjoy, the renaissance of a new causeway revitalizing the only commercial corridor of the village, and a municipal and public safety complex that will allow the city to serve its residents for decades.

Our mission is to provide a straight-forward, fact based campaign allowing residents to make an informed decision on the future of North Bay Village.  The city will host three community workshops at Treasure Island Elementary prior to the election.  The city staff will also be available to attend any Homeowners Association meetings.  The January issue of Reflections will be dedicated in its’ entirety to the ballot questions.  The city website will also have a bond referendum section that will include presentations and a financial tax calculator.  Residents can also look for information on our Public Access Channel 77 that will be providing the presentations and other related information 24 hours a day.

Residents are not strangers to questions being presented to them once again on the ballot.  Why are we asked to vote on this again?  Why is it important?  How much will it cost?  What are our options?  These are all very important questions that we must answer and provide you supporting factual documentation.

I ask you all to join our meetings, discussion groups, boards and any public forum we will host, and get informed.
