  Roland D. Pandolfi
Chief of Police

Roland D. Pandolfi was promoted to the North Bay Village Chief of Police on October 14, 2008, after serving several months as Acting/Chief.  Prior to this promotion and for over a decade, he served as an Assistant Chief and was a member of the Police Department’s Patrol and Administrative Command Staff.   The cornerstone of his administration is to build stronger partnerships between the community and the North Bay Village Police Department through the Community Policing and Crime Watch initiatives.   In working in collaboration with the homeowners and residents and by opening the lines of communication with the public, the crime rate has decreased; and there has been an increase in the number of criminal apprehensions.

During the Nation’s recent economic challenges, Chief Pandolfi has been able to maintain the Police Department’s support of the North Bay Village Police Athletic/Activities League, as well as, continued police participation in early intervention programs, victim advocacy, and budget management.

Chief Pandolfi is currently completing his dissertation and is expected to graduate with a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Science by the end of this year.  He has a Masters Degree in Management with Human Resource Specialization from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from Union Institute and University.  He has conducted research in Leadership Development, Intervention Strategies in Human Services and Criminal Justice, Human Resource Management and Development, Emergency Management and Homeland Security, as well as Tropical Cyclone Preparation, Mitigation, and Recovery.  In May of 2007, Chief Pandolfi graduated from the Florida Executive Development Seminar sponsored by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Florida Chief’s Education and Research Foundation.
